Discussion Courses Projects
PDF Print E-mail

While Discussion Courses are an amazingly powerful experience for most who participate and lead to individuals making discrete changes in their lives that benefit themselves and their environment, we hope that members of each Course will elect to undertake what we call a ‘Discussion Course Project.’  We encourage group members to take some outward action that puts into movement some aspect of the discussion that has taken place within the Group over the course of the Course.  Simply put:  to give the Inner Talk and Outer Walk component.  By putting an outward component to the talk, the group puts thoughts into actions.  That said;  ESA does not require that a Circle undertake a Project; we hope that the Circle members will feel moved to do so on their own and if not, that is their choice and we will honor that.

Other than giving movement to words, we envisions no other intended component to a Project.  It can be private for the group only or it can be open to members of the ESA community and public at large.  It can be very focused and specific in its action such as clean up of a particular park or general, such as a pot luck meal and poetry gathering.  There is power in putting an outward, action component to our words, and we hope that each group will use their creative genius to develop a project that feels right to them.  If your group would like to publicize or share the results of your project with our on-line community, please pass along your information via our Contact page and we will get out the word.
